Dandelion School
The students at Dandelion School come from all corners of China and belong to families living on the margins of society. Their daily lives are characterized by low family income, cramped living conditions, and parents who themselves had limited educational opportunities. Compounding these challenges are often severe family hardships: children who are effectively orphans, single-parent households, or family members with serious illnesses.
Dandelion School is an institution sustained by societal solidarity. Over 70% of our educational expenses are funded by private donations. This means: without the help of people like you, our students could not complete their education.
Additionally, we provide direct financial assistance to 15-20% of our students who come from particularly precarious circumstances. This ensures that no child is forced to drop out of school purely for financial reasons.
