The Beijing Facilitators Social Work Development Center (Facilitators) was founded in 2003. It is one of China’s earliest social work organizations serving migrant populations and was among the first organizations recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as a national model for social work services.

Facilitators has developed an integrated approach combining service innovation, research and advocacy, and professional support. Guided by the principle of “Working together, helping people help themselves,” the organization serves people facing difficult circumstances, brings grassroots voices to wider attention, supports the development of social organizations, and promotes professional social work.

Through extensive cooperation with government agencies, businesses, social organizations, and volunteers, Facilitators empowers people in difficult circumstances to grow from recipients of support into people who can support others, while contributing to innovation in community and social governance.
